Conduct & integrity — PROVE Institute

The principles of practice

Six commitments that define what it means to carry a PROVE mark.

01
Independence first

Never verify work you advised on, hold an interest in, or stand to gain from.

02
Led by the evidence

Form a conclusion from what was observed in context — never from what is hoped or claimed.

03
Faithful representation

Report what was found plainly, including its limits and its uncertainty.

04
Confidentiality

Hold an Improver's information in confidence, disclosing only what verification requires.

05
Competence, kept current

Work only within your competence, and keep it current through CPD.

06
Accountability

Stand behind your judgement through review, and answer for it to the Institute.
